Supporting Kids & Teens with Compassionate, Validating Care

How are we different?
Growing up comes with many changes, and sometimes children and teens need extra support navigating their emotions, behaviors, and mental health. As a parent, it can be difficult to know how to help. We are here to listen, guide, and take the time to find the root causes of your child’s struggles—not just manage symptoms. We want to collaborate with your child to allow them to express themselves freely while allowing them to understand themselves.
Our approach is collaborative, working closely with families to create a plan that supports your child’s mental and emotional well-being.

What to Expect
Initial Evaluation - Around 1 Hour:

Your child's first visit is focused on understanding their unique story—examining their history, experiences, and what led them to seek care. While the initial intake forms are comprehensive, they help us get a better understanding before the visit, so we can focus on your child without rushing through details. We will take a thorough look at your child’s mental health, including their developmental history, emotional concerns, and behavioral patterns. Parents and children are encouraged to share their thoughts, allowing us to address any concerns and work together to develop a treatment approach that fits your child’s needs.
During the visit, we will conduct a comprehensive psychiatric assessment, explore potential factors contributing to their symptoms, and collaborate on a personalized treatment plan. We integrate both Western medicine and holistic approaches to provide a balanced treatment plan. Our goal is to educate families on various options and involve you in the decision-making process. We will also set clear, achievable goals to guide treatment and help your child regain their well-being.
Rather than rushing to a diagnosis or prescription, we take the time to listen, assess thoroughly, and collaborate on a thoughtful, individualized approach to your care.
Treatment plans are individualized, with follow-up visits typically ranging from weekly to every 2-3 months, based on your child’s needs.

Follow-Up Evaluation - Around 30 Minutes:

Follow-up sessions are focused on monitoring progress, adjusting treatment as needed, and exploring medication and holistic interventions to support your child’s well-being. We’ll check in on progress, make adjustments as needed, and continue supporting their journey toward wellness. Our goal is to allow them to accept what makes them individual and different, and support them in their growth.
